What is Semantic Similarity?
How alike two texts are in meaning rather than shared keywords. Engines use it for deduplication, clustering, and retrieval; near-duplicate pages with different words still read as duplicates.

Cosine Similarity
A 0-to-1 measure of how alike two embeddings are, used to rank which passages answer a query. Higher similarity means the passage reads as more about the same thing as the question.
Duplicate Content
Substantively identical content at multiple URLs, from facets, parameters, or syndication. Diagnose the pattern (template, locale, pagination) before prescribing canonicals or consolidation.
Keyword Cluster
A group of queries one page can satisfy because they share intent and SERP overlap. Cluster before writing: it prevents cannibalization and sizes the brief correctly.
On-Page SEO
Optimizing individual pages: titles, headings, content depth, internal links, images, and schema. On-page work decides relevance once technical SEO has made the page reachable.
Title Tag
The clickable headline in search results and the strongest on-page relevance signal. Google rewrites most titles, so clarity and completeness beat rigid length rules.
Meta Description
The optional summary that can become the result snippet. Absence is not a penalty and Google rewrites most descriptions, so prioritize valuable pages where controlled wording earns clicks.
